![]() ![]() So, swelling from eating salty food can resolve quickly, whereas swelling from an underlying medical condition can be expected to take longer to resolve," says Noëlle Sherber, MD, a dermatologist and the cofounder of SHERBER + RAD. "Generally speaking, if something doesn't happen in a day, it can't go away in a day. Many notice their enlarged bags first thing in the morning and the condition should improve as the day goes on and resolve over time. Although there is a chance that your puffiness may be related to a more serious medical issue, swollen under-eyes are typically very manageable and your body’s natural response to a high-sodium diet, sleep cycle, or gradual aging, among other causes. You look a little funny, you can often feel the liquid retention in your face, and many times you can’t pinpoint the exact cause of the swelling.Ĭonditions such as angioedema, a serious allergic reaction, dermatomyositis, an inflammatory disease, and thyroid conditions such as Graves' disease can lead to puffy eyes. If I were to buy this again, which I probably wouldn’t (because I have found other concealers that better suit my needs), I would probably opt for #4.There’s something fundamentally uncomfortable about waking up in the morning with puffy eyes. See, it is a pretty obvious highlighter–which is why I’d recommend #4 or #5 Here you can see the highlighting effect more More AFTER pictures (with the touche eclat on) in different lightings *WARNING* No makeup face! haha so this is my under eyes without any concealerĪpplying touche eclat with the brush attached to it–you can see the peach tones to it and how it is light in texture I took some before and after pictures with the touche eclat so you can see the result and the coverage □ So if you’re looking for a highlighter for under the eyes then I think #3 should be good for you but I would recommend trying out #4 or even #5 first because #3 can look too obvious sometimes. The warm, peach undertones, however, should be a good sign to you-it does compliment deeper skin tones well because of that. #3 is a good highlight color for me but its not a perfect color match and can only really be used for highlighting purposes. How does it play out on deeper skin tones? I think YSL came out with some darker colors for their touche eclat recently, so I would recommend getting a color darker than #3 if you are NC42 or darker. But I don’t use this often enough to say much more about its lasting power in terms of sweat and stuff. Lasting Power: Good lasting power, since its not as creamy as Bobbi Brown’s creamy concealer, it doesn’t crease under my eyes and since it dries pretty quickly, it lasts pretty long. I think it’s a good accent or enhancement on top of concealer but pretty sheer on its own. I don’t think it was meant to really conceal dark circles though so I don’t blame the product, it’s just not particularly useful to me. But for someone like me, who needs some heavy duty concealing most of the time, this product doesn’t cut it-the coverage isn’t there. If you don’t have dark circles, and you just need something to brighten your skin up, this would be good for you. I do think it does it’s job in highlighting the area and making it look brighter. It only looks okay if I apply very little but then the coverage is very, very sheerįinish (Effect): This product is meant to highlight your undereyes so that the area looks brighter and you look more awake. I have tried using a concealer brush and I have to admit, it works better for this product, but it is still a pretty uneven application for me and just difficult to get right. But even with my finger, I find that I tend to get an uneven application every time and I’m usually spending most of my time trying to blend the product out, add more, blend more, add more and by the time I’m done I am unhappy with the result. I just use the brush to place the product under my eyes but I find the brush too thin for blending so I usually use my ring finger to blend, as I do most concealers. But I am always kind of hesitant before I use this because I never know exactly how I am going to apply it. It in a pen form, so you click the bottom to dispense the product in between the brush at the top. Not runny, not liquidy, just very light cream.Īpplication: In my opinion, this product has a pretty weird application. Hello everyone~ So I bought my Yves Saint Laurent Touch Eclat in #3 ($40) at Nordstrom a little less than a year ago and figured it’s about time I decide what I think about it □ Hope this is helpful to you all~Ĭolor/Tone: Medium color with peach undertone to counteract blue-ness and purple-ness under the eyes. ![]()
